I’ve been taking a lot of design notes lately for the new house – ideas for the kids rooms, the master bedroom, furniture placement, kitchen design, light fixtures, and on and on… Needless to say I’ve been flipping through a lot of magazines and logging too many hours on my Houzz app. When taking a look at my favourite pictures, I’ve noticed there’s a LOT of white. All white interiors can take my breath away. I immediately grab my husband and throw the magazine at him, or text him the pic if he’s not home. He usually shakes his head or doesn’t respond. Men. And it’s not because he’s not into design, I think he’s better at it than I am, but he doesn’t think we could handle an all-white room.
Will it stay clean? Will it feel cold and lifeless? Will I be bored in it? Will I freak out everytime some child’s grubby little hands touch my white sofa? Will I hide all the markers and crayons? *le sigh* I suppose it’s not the most practical choice for a family with kids. But it looks lovely, doesn’t it?

These brown weathered moccasins from Freshly Picked are so cute, I almost said out loud, “I wish they came in my size!” The soft, buttery leather is perfect for little forming baby feet as they are learning to stand, crawl, and take their first steps. I think they’re perfect for boys or girls, what about you?

After procrastinating for years on getting an eye exam, I finally got one done a few weeks ago and was surprised (not really) to discover that my prescription has changed. This gave me the excuse to find a new pair of eyeglass frames, and I was looking for something ‘geek chic’, with more emphasis on the ‘chic’. These Jimmy Choo JC66 frames were perfect and they’ve got just the right amount of sparkle at the temple. I never thought I’d get another pair of Choos so soon!

Every fall I await that glorious morning when I can walk into my local Starbucks and order myself a Grande Non-Fat Pumpkin Spice Latte, with Whip, thankyouverymuch. There’s just something about it that simply screams FALL IS HERE! You take a sip, watch the leaves fall, and feel yourself unwind. It’s perfection in a cup. Are you a fan?
I recently became very fed up with my postpartum wardrobe. I realized I didn’t have a single pair of pants that I liked (or fit in to). One stop into Aritzia and I came out wit these Rag & Bone Leggings Jeans, in midnight black, completely stretchy with a high enough rise that your bottom doesn’t show when bending down at the playground. Dressed up with a pair of heels or dressed down with flip flops, this pair of legging jeans are perfect.
