This is What Happens When Family Visits.
**Be Sure to Check out the FABULOUS Book Swap**
My boyfriend’s parents flew in from Toronto last Monday and stayed with us for a week. They just left. Relief.
As the kind of person who enjoys her own space, shacking up with an extra two adults in our 1054-square foot apartment wasn’t that bad, but it was definitely not ideal. Blogging time – gone. The Sims 3 time – gone. I could barely squeeze in a shower. (Well, I showered but obviously that took precedence over blogging.) I am so happy and relieved to be back typing on my laptop and telling you stories.
But you know what? I’m EXHAUSTED.
We took them everywhere, we went out to eat every night almost and even our darling Princess got so tired by the end of the week she could barely keep her eyes open. And so, here is what I’ve done this week. In bullets.
- - Hugged family members I haven’t seen in four months.
- - Took Princess’ grandparents to their first pre-school party where they were the VIPs.
- - Had a morning to myself and met up with a new friend for coffee and book perusing.
- - Went up Grouse Mountain and had dinner at their bistro – so so good!
- - Watched the Olympic Ceremonies at a restaurant in Yaletown and had the best time ever.
- - Got a picture with an Olympic torch!
- - Put my toes in the Pacific ocean. Yes, it was cold!
- - Bugged J about getting a puppy everyday – so cruel yet so much fun!
- - Ate BELTCH sandwiches on Granville Island.
- - Walked down a pier.
- - Saw an ice skating show with Miga, Quatchi and Sumi (I think that’s their names)!
- - Had my little PRINCESS on CTV news
- - Ate rattlesnake at a Aboriginal party we crashed.
- - Fell asleep to screaming from the street. Yay Olympics.
- - Received a red rose for my Valentine’s Day.
- - Got drunk more times than I can remember.
- - Ate more food than I can remember.
xoxo

Just do what I do and bring a puppy home (tell J you're just babysitting for a friend who went overseas or something) and then tell him it's actually your puppy AFTER he falls in love with it. It worked when my sister and I brought Mochi home… my parents never brought the babysitting thing up afterwards… I swear they love her more than my sister and I. They use to hate dogs!

Great picture, and I'm glad that you're through the thick of it! I miss your little girl, she's such a sweetheart. Maybe I should come back for a rattlesnake/drinking play date? That would be exotic! lol
Good luck detoxing!
